EICR Reports

Comprehensive Electrical Installation Condition Reports to guarantee the safety and legal compliance of your property.

Electrical Safety Certificates

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is an in-depth inspection of your property's electrical systems. It identifies damage, deterioration, defects, and dangerous conditions within an installation.

For Landlords: It is a strict legal requirement in the UK to have an EICR conducted at least every 5 years or at the start of a new tenancy. Failure to comply can result in severe penalties and invalidates property insurance.

For Commercial Properties: Employers have a duty of care under the Health and Safety at Work Act to ensure electrical installations are safe. Depending on the environment, an EICR is typically required every 1 to 5 years.

For Homeowners: We highly recommend an EICR when purchasing a new property, or if your current home hasn't been inspected in over 10 years.

Understanding EICR Codes

  • Code C1: Danger present. Risk of injury. Immediate remedial action required.
  • Code C2: Potentially dangerous. Urgent remedial action required.
  • Code C3: Improvement recommended. (Does not result in a failed report).
  • FI: Further investigation required without delay.

Note: Any C1, C2, or FI codes will result in an "Unsatisfactory" report. We provide transparent quotes to rectify these issues.

Our EICR Process:

  • 2

    Dead Testing

Continuity, insulation resistance, and polarity tests conducted with the power turned off.

  • 3

    Live Testing

Earth fault loop impedance and RCD operation tests conducted with the power on.

  • 4

    Detailed Report

You receive formal documentation detailing the condition of the installation and any required remedial work.
